While my formal services average about 3¢ per word at $99/hour, you aren't average. Neither is your story. Your 100,000 words may be very different from another person's 100k. The difference could be over 20 hours of a professional's time. To avoid under- or over-charging unfairly, I help you budget & offer a package discount based on your specific needs (always below my formal rate).
Therefore, you do not have to pay a flat rate with a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, your down payment gives me the time to read, edit &/or convert enough of your original materials to accurately determine how much time & cost it will take to complete the work you want done. Within a week, I will give you an accurate quote for the final, discounted cost to finish the work. If you decide to have me continue, it will take under 30 days to complete, & the amount you put down today will be 100% credited to the final quote. If you prefer I stop where I am, I will deliver all work done to that point along with preliminary feedback & a gameplan to publish, promote &/or produce for profit (with or without my help).
